About the Journal

Aim and Scope

The Journal of Social Review and Development is an international, peer-reviewed, refereed, and open-access journal that provides a scholarly platform for the publication of high-quality research papers. The journal aims to bridge the gap between theoretical academic research and practical applications by encouraging interdisciplinary studies that contribute to social understanding and sustainable development.

The journal publishes a wide range of scholarly works, including original research articles, applied research, policy analyses, case studies, experience reports, and product or system descriptions relevant to social and developmental studies.

The journal welcomes research-based manuscripts from a broad range of disciplines, including but not limited to:

Economics, Education, Geography, History, Law, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, Social Sciences, Humanities, Philosophy, Public Administration, International Relations, Social Policy, Social Work, Social Welfare, Anthropology, Criminology, Development Studies, Women’s Studies, Religious Studies, Linguistics, Library and Information Science, Visual Arts, Cultural Studies, and other allied social science disciplines.

Publication Frequency

The publication frequency of the Journal of Social Review and Development journal is quarterly (4 issues per year).

Journal Archiving

Content published in Dzarc journals is preserved through digital archiving systems to ensure long-term accessibility. The journal supports recognized preservation initiatives such as LOCKSS and CLOCKSS, subject to availability and participation agreements.

Open Archives Initiative

The Journal of Social Review and Development supports the Open Archives Initiative (OAI). Article metadata is made available for harvesting by indexing services via the OAI-PMH protocol and is accessible through OAI-supported platforms.

Plagiarism

The Journal of Social Review and Development follows internationally accepted publication ethics and best practices. All submitted manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening before peer review and again prior to final acceptance. The journal maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism.

Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere. Any detected plagiarism at any stage will result in immediate rejection.

To ensure originality and ethical research practice, the journal uses Turnitin plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions.

Complaints Policy

The Managing Team and staff of the Journal of Social Review and Development make every effort to address and resolve complaints promptly and fairly. All complaints are investigated in a constructive, transparent, and blame-free manner wherever possible.

All complaints will be formally acknowledged within three working days. A full response will normally be provided within two weeks. If this is not possible, an interim response will be issued within two weeks, followed by further updates until the matter is resolved.
